Plant card changes just came out. Just some insight, first look changes I can spot:
Papi has a retain and gives a leaf. Direct heal removed. Confusion gives a curse to draw pile not discard pile now. Blossom can select from draw but if empty will select from discard too. Cucumber leaf has retain, scales up and it's cheaper. Rosa has return (still banished), no poison and has 4 turns effect sleep (was 2). Not random anymore. Lotus removes 2 curses (was 1) and targetable. Serious makes you self apply sleep for 2 turn (was disarm). Zigzag no longer heals but applies fragile or deals more damage to fragile. Herbivore extends sleep for 2 turn (not sure if it breaks it), 15 healing and 5 dmg removed. Turnip damaging summons has a limit of 4 turns, then it's gone, unlike before. Bidens: fully cleanses, applies several times (so it cleans poison too). Watering can has a cap of 3 pure water (also nerfs topaz indirectly) Bamboo spear no longer stacks damage but adds 1 leaf or 1 each for each bamboo in deck. Beech no longer gives shield but removes all secrets- a better oranda Cactus 5 dmg less Watermelon 15 more dmg, and deals pure dmg against sleep and 15 bonus dmg Carrot is no longer banished, gains 1 energy fragment or 2 if breaks a shield (not if deals hp damage) so probably better with aoe damage to test shield first. High synergy with energy boost meter. 20 dmg buff. Hatsune applies fragile for the next opponent gaining shield. Potato leaf: no more attack, it's a targeted shield now, if attacked puts them to sleep 2 turns. Cattail is no longer attack but a heal effect. If it's not frontline that's worse.
Several text changes for no reason at all.
The rest of the cards didn't change significantly or I didn't notice, might be +-5 damage difference on them, there still might be changes.
sleep is changed, you can play a card but it's negated, also playing a card removes sleep so 0 costs are best for this. leafs are nerfed from 4 to 3 but can stack up to 10 not 5 so overall buff. Return: if not used, goes to top of draw pile until used. Bad auto-return cards might be bad. So far, just Rosa, and seems stronger. Cleanse cleans 3 stacks or 3 turns, or 1 effect. Used to be 5 stack in case of poison. But also Bidens repeats so it can clean all of it, totally negating all poison. The mushroom from shitake has 24 hp and heals it's remaining hp (buff) and loses 8 hp. Seems like buffing it up and keeping it longer might be strong.
Incubator mushroom for massive heals? Sleep seems to be the theme of plants, probably other classes follow suit. Seems like swinging with no damage will be a theme too. While sleep is weaker in terms of effect, using an energy while not applying effect will be quite detrimental in some case, so it's not useless. Seems like something they would do against AI and players who just slap cards, so I kind of like it. we might see a buff to doubletalk as it was a dedicated strong sleep?
Using Leafy for damage from leafs, instead of healing, might be a better strategy now, also more cards give leafs, and not just ears but eye and horn so papi-bamboo will be popular with leafy or clover.
Beech as a better oranda is broken, it was too strong for aquas, and was nerfed, so yet another aqua power stolen and given to plants. The nerf to cactus also makes this stronger. The 2 cost is not as bad as it was with energy buffs.
Carrot won't give energy so Ronin is indirectly nerfed but the shards to boost the booster several times, sounds broken.
Based on the change for papi, and the indirect nerf from keep mechanic, the 2x anemone and 2x leaf bug might be also changed. Razor, Catfish and Mosquito might change similar to zigzag (and somewhat peacemaker).
